Reverend Clarke Announces Closure of Nonprofit Supporting Mental Health and Substance Use Challenges Due to Lack of Funding and Volunteers

Syracuse, NY – It is with great sadness that Reverend Clarke announces the closure of his nonprofit organization, SyrPeer, Inc., which provided support and resources to individuals living with mental health and substance use challenges. Despite the dedication and hard work of Reverend Clarke and his team, the nonprofit was unable to secure sufficient funding and volunteers to sustain its operations.

The nonprofit, which has been serving the community for over a decade, offered a range of services including counseling, support groups, and educational programs. It was a vital resource for many individuals and families struggling with mental health and substance use issues, providing a safe and welcoming space for people to find support and guidance.

Reverend Clarke expressed his gratitude to the community for its support over the years and thanked the volunteers who had worked tirelessly to make the nonprofit a success. He also expressed his deep disappointment that the organization could no longer continue to serve those in need.

“Closing the nonprofit was not an easy decision, but unfortunately, we simply did not have the resources we needed to continue our work,” said Reverend Clarke. “We are proud of what we accomplished over the years and the impact we had on the lives of so many people. We hope that our legacy will live on in the memories of those we served and that others will step up to continue this important work.”

Reverend Clarke urged individuals and organizations to continue to support those struggling with mental health and substance use challenges, saying that the need for resources and support has never been greater.

“I encourage everyone to reach out to those in need, to listen to them, and to offer a helping hand,” said Reverend Clarke. “We may be closing our doors, but the need for compassion and understanding in our communities remains as strong as ever.”
